Family Planning/Contraception Advice

Advice on contraception including coil fitting and Implanon insertion. Preconception Clinic.

Ante-Natal Clinic.

These clinics are run by the midwife.

Child Development and Immunisations

This clinic is held on a Tuesday morning. A full screening programme is carried out, and immunizations given as necessary. The Health Visitor is also involved in this clinic.

Diabetic Clinic

Our practice Nurse and Doctors run these clinics.

Minor Surgery Clinic including Warts and Verrucae

Our practice Nurse runs this clinic on a Wednesday afternoon (third Wednesday in the month)

Lumps and Bumps

We are able to arrange removal of “lumps and bumps” within the health centre. This is carried out by a qualified clinician and saves you traveling to hospital for treatment.

Post Myocardial Infarction/Heart Clinic.

Asthma and COPD Clinics

Our practice nurse runs these clinics on a Thursday morning and Friday afternoon.

Blood Pressure Clinic

Our Practice Nurse runs this clinic on a Monday afternoon or we can arrange an alternative time to suit you.

Epilepsy Clinic

Monitoring of Blood Levels done by the Practice Nurse.

Anticoagulant (Warfarin) Clinic

We offer our patients an alternative to attending hospital for monitoring of INR levels.

Patients on Disease Modifying Anti-Rheumatic Drugs

Blood and urine checks carried our by the Practice Nurse

Test Results

Please call between 11am and 3.30pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.

• MMR Catch-up (for students)
• HPV Immunisation
• Hepatitis Immunisations
• Recall of those patients aged between 16 and 75 who have not previously attended the Practice in the past three years.
• Screening of patients aged over 75.

Enhanced medical services for residents of care homes

As well as receiving on going care, residents in Nursing/Residential/Care Homes are given an annual medical check, which will include an annual flu vaccination.
