Appointments

Appointments can be made by phone or calling in person at the health centre. Our appointments are made up one month in advance. If you prefer to see a particular Doctor please let us know and we shall try our best to accommodate your request, however this will not always be possible.

Please remember that the reception staff are there to help you and any questions they may ask are designed to assist the doctor in caring for your well-being.

We aim to offer on the days appointments for people requiring urgent attention outwith routine care.   Our telephone lines are open at 8.30am.  Please phone early if you require a same day appointment.

Our Nurse Practitioner can see, treat and discharge a large range of minor illness, ailments and supply a prescription if required. 

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Telephone Consultations

We have introduced telephone consultations which can be arranged with the receptionist.
